Cowie, Jacqueline “Jackie” May – Age 84 of Greenwood Kings Co., NS. passed away Saturday October 31, 2020 at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Grand Manan, NB, she was a daughter of the late Vance and Lottie (Bishop) Huntley. Jackie was a respected and loved teacher throughout her entire career until retirement. She was a talented wood carver and accomplished painter. She and Eugene spent 25 winters in Florida where they made a lot of lifetime friendships. Jackie will be remembered as being family oriented and loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Eugene Cowie; daughter, Debbie (Al) Ross; sons, Kevin (Lise Roy) Cowie and Jonathan (Tanya Valentic) Cowie; sisters, Joyce (Gene) Tatton and Janet Ingersoll; brother, Albion (Pauline) Huntley; sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Huntley and Wanda (Bryan Schmidt) MacDonnell; brother-in-law, Wayne (Moira) Cowie; grandchildren, Adam (Annie Pelayo) Frank, Mark (Katy Tooth) Frank, Amelia, Ethan and Cole Cowie; step-grandson, Jonathan (Lynda) Ross and their children Grace and Leo; step-grandson, Andrew (Melanie) Ross and their children, Emilie and Noah; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her brother, Robert (Bob) Huntley. Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday October 26, 2021at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston.
