After a recurrence with cancer, Ivonne passed away at age 94 with family by her side.
Ivonne was born February 26, 1927 in San Mango d’Aquino Italy. She immigrated to Canada in 1962, settling first in Fort Rouge and later Charleswood, where she was blessed with many wonderful neighbours.
Ivonne was predeceased by her husband Gesualdo in 2018, her mother Elena (Sacco) Gigliotti, her father Rosario Gigliotti, brother Ugo Gigliotti, brother Vincenzino Gigliotti, and sister Olga (Gigliotti) Costanzo.
She is survived by her children Tony, Vincenzo, and Maria, and her grandchildren Alyssa (Colin) and Michael (Ashley). Also to mourn her loss are: brother Mario Gigliotti (Franca), sister Adelgisa Cianflone (Joe), and many nieces and nephews.
Her first love was her family, especially her grandchildren, Alyssa and Michael. Among her many passions were cooking, and of course, her vegetable and flower gardens. Ivonne will be deeply missed by her family.
Special thank you to the kind and compassionate staff of Riverview Health Centre’s Palliative care unit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
