Obituary
Irene R. Gorman
1957 – 2021
It’s with sad and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mom, Irene Roberta Gorman (nee Malley) on December 6, 2021, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 64. Irene was born on June 20, 1957, to Joe and Leona Malley.
She is survived by her companion, Brian Carter; daughter, Sabrina (former husband, Glenn Voutour); two granddaughters: Amber and Ria Voutour, both at home. She is also survived by her special daughter, Monica Hebert.
Mom’s pride and joy were her granddaughters and she enjoyed watching them grow and creating loving memories with them, along with friends and family whom will always carry love in their heart. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not.
She is also survived by five sisters: Catherine Matchett (late Howard) of Miramichi, Norma Savoie (late Harold) of Fredericton, Irma Flieger (late Jimmy) of Miramichi, Marie Malley (late Allen) of St. Isadore and Linda Malley of Miramichi; two brothers: Charles Malley (Sandra) of Calgary, AB and Stephen Malley (Nancy Comeau) of Miramichi; two aunts: Vernica Comeau and Pearl Clarke; God-children: Melanie and Melissa Harris; many nieces, nephews, cousins and two former husbands: Calvin Gilliss and Noonan Gorman. She was predeceased by her loving parents: Joe and Leona Malley; brothers: John Malley, Arnold O’Malley, Andre Malley and Arthur Grey; sister, Yvonne Mecure; and nephew, Little Jimmy Flieger.
Special thank you to Sandy Daigle and her loving family for such tender care of Mom and all who loved Mom during her life. Family and friends meant the world to Mom and in memory of her, do random acts of kindness for someone in need as Mom would do. You were the greatest Mom and will be dearly missed. Love you for all eternity, Sabrina, Glenn, Amber, Ria and Monica.
A PRIVATE visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St. Miramichi. A PUBLIC Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Basilica at a date and time to be announced. Interment will occur at a later date in the spring.
