Inger Kristina Madsen (nee Sorenson) passed away on August 6, 2021.
Inger was born in Denmark on November 15, 1923, the second oldest in a family of four. She married Otto Peder Madsen in November of 1943, and they settled on a farm near Agerbaek, Denmark. There they had two sons, Bjarne and Leif, before deciding to emigrate to Canada in 1951. They ultimately established a farm at Hardy, Saskatchewan.
Inger was a busy farm wife who loved her garden. She was also very involved in community activities, as well as serving on both church and school boards. Inger and Otto retired to Weyburn in 1975 and later moved to Tisdale in 2001. After retirement, Otto and Inger made several trips back to Denmark and traveled throughout Canada in their motor home.
Inger was predeceased by Otto in 2002. She is survived by her sons, Bj (Kathy) of Tisdale and Leif (Gloria) of Edmonton, as well as three grandchildren: Leah, Aaron (Allison) and Dana. She also leaves to seven great grandchildren: Teagan and Rylan Sisson, Elizabeth, Nathan and Soren Madsen and Sarah and Amy Gladden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She will be fondly remembered and missed by all.
