ILVA CORAZZA
1925-2021
Ilva passed away peacefully in Trail, BC on September 12, 2021 at the age of 96.
She was predeceased by her Amore, Aulo. Ilva is survived by her sons Mauro (Kathy) of Cornwall, PEI, Ivano of Surrey, BC as well as her grandchildren; Kelly, Colleen, Erin, and Christina Maria, as well as great-grandchild Sienna, and future baby Dominic.
Ilva immigrated to Canada from Italy to join her husband Aulo and start a new life and family in Trail. She came to be an intricate part of the local community, touching 4 generations with her love and numerous skills. We have all enjoyed the bounties of her vegetable and herb garden, her delicious meals and specialty baking.
There have also been many children who have found warmth in Ilva’s knitting of blankets, sweaters, and booties. She found comfort and joy in giving to others.
Ilva was an active member of the Sorelle Colombo Executive, however her passion was in the Colombo Lodge kitchen.
Ilva will always be in our hearts, and we will miss her and her cooking dearly. She is now joining Aulo and her many amici in heaven celebrating with a glass of vino, eating pasta and cookies, reminiscing of the good times they all had.

Due to Covid, a private family Mass will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
