It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Hubert Roland Cheshire, at the age of 92.
He was predeceased by his wife Lyla, second wife Eleanor, daughter Barbara, son George, son in-law Rick, grandson Bradley, brother Alfred, brother in-law Vern, his mother Anne and father Eric.
Left to cherish memories of him are his children Ann-Louise, Mag, Sheila (Tom), Shelly, his two sister’s Joan and Marg (Stan), Step children Ken(Ellen), Kathy(Darren), Bob and Kim, 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bert was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, he served in the Canadian Air Force when he was just 17 years old and advanced to a corporal. He loved his cottage out at Sandy Hook His true passion was golf/curling, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Winnipeg Jets. Bert was a proud legion member since 1953, it was his favorite place to be to spend time with his friends and family.
The family would like to thank all his home care workers and the staff at Riverview for their excellent care and support. A special thanks to all of the family and friends who have reached out during this trying time.
Due to Covid-19, the family will be having a small private celebration of life.

Hello Cousins. Thinking of you during this difficult time. I have fond memories of family days spent At Sandy Hook. RIP Uncle Bert ❤️

Wanda and I are thinking of you Sheila, Mag, Shelly and Ann-Louise in this time of grief. We had a lot of great times out at Sandy Hook and always looked forward to seeing your mom and dad during our numerous summer vacations and weekends at the lake.
