It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hewitt Harry Noseworthy on September 21, 2021, following a brave and hard-fought battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Llewelyn and Gladys Noseworthy, bothers Lloyd, Chester, and Stephen and sisters Olive and Donna.
Leaving to mourn are his cherished wife Carol; his children (the centre of his heart) Jill Cormier (Michael); Jennifer Bowser (Neil) and Christopher; his adored grandchildren Christian, Avery, Kennedy and Joe; step-children Karen Vogele (Rainer); Chris Squires (Cindy) and beloved grandchildren Jakob, Caidie, Molly, Harry, and Max; as well as Phyllis, his special sister-in-law, his many nieces and nephews in St. John’s and Ontario; a large extended family in Newfoundland and close circle of friends in Ottawa.
Forever remembered for his hard work, huge heart and love of family and home, Hewitt will also be fondly remembered for his many “Hewittism’s” as coined by his friend Eric, his quick wit, sharp sense of humour, and his love of music.
Cremation has taken place in Ottawa. Visitation will take place in St. John’s at Carnell’s Funeral Home on November 3rd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue on November 4th at 2:00 pm followed by inurnment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. COVID protocols will be followed.
No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel or to a charity of one’s choice.
