It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Ken, who passed away April 11, 2021, at the age of 68 years. Ken passed away peacefully at home with family by his side.
Ken is survived by his wife Charmaine (Charlie); sons Adam (Todd), Donald, Paul (Ruth), David; grandsons Declan and Ruairi; brothers Bill, Brian (Pam), David (Lori); Aunty Myrt, nieces, nephews, and many friends and cousins.
Ken was pre-deceased by his parents John and Verna and brother Donald.
Ken lived most of his life in Edmonton, but always cheered for his hometown teams, the Calgary Stampeders and Calgary Flames.
Ken graduated as a Power Engineer from SAIT in 1973. He enjoyed a long career in healthcare at the Edmonton General, the Grey Nuns Hospital, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. His ‘retirement’ job was instructing at NAIT in the Continuing Education Power Engineering Program.
Over the years Ken enjoyed playing for many hockey teams as a goalie. Later on, it was running with friends and walking the Irish Wolfhounds.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the late summer.
Our thanks to all who helped our family in many ways, including the Palliative Home Care Team and Dr. Abraham and Nurse Judy of the Grey Nuns Family Medicine Ctr.
