Fleming, Henry William
Henry was born on May 3rd, 1940 in Trail, BC and, after a brief battle with cancer, passed away September 14, 2021 at the Trail Hospital with family and friends by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jean Fleming, and his sister Roberta (Ivor) McLaren.
Henry is survived by his nephew and nieces, Wayne McLaren, Heather Brewer and Laurie Schubert and he leaves to mourn his many good friends in Castlegar where he lived for many years.
Henry was born on 4th Avenue, just down the hill from Trail Hospital. Upon graduating from high school, he took technical training and worked as a technician installing microwave towers in North America, Europe and Asia. At the end of his career, he moved to Castlegar to devote his time and be a support to his mother, and after her passing, he developed a strong network of friends. He gave generously of his time, and was known for his sense of humour. “He was a good man,” was the comment heard over and over again from friends and neighbours – a fitting tribute.
There will not be a Celebration of Life at this time, but you are welcome to contact Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services in Trail to be advised of any changes. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the family’s register at (website address).
A Good Man is Not Soon Forgotten.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Henry William Fleming September 14th 2021..
