Obituary
Joseph Henry Littlewolfe (Pitchow) « Moonjas » grew up in Onion Lake First Nation Reserve. He spent ten years at St. Anthony’s Indian Residential School. Henry loved playing hockey, ball games, and he was also a talented artist. Henry designed his own buckskin regalia. He also enjoyed painting and attending Pow Wow celebrations. Henry had a great personality and possessed a funny, raw sense of humour. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, giving them quad rides. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Recently, Henry took up playing guitar, and learning gospel songs. Henry spent most of his time making fox hats, snaring rabbits, working on his regalia, watching his grandchildren play hockey, building a tree house for his grandchildren, and most of all watching his favourite team, the Edmonton Oilers. He always found hunting, and skinning for making fox hats very rewarding.
He is predeceased by: his wife, Donna Littlewolfe (1998); his parents, Antoine Littlewolfe, and Isabelle Pitchow; his siblings, Bruno Littlewolfe, Alexander (Buck) Littlewolfe, Jonas Littlewolfe (2020), and Linda Chief; and his baby boy, Tyrone Littlewolfe (2012).
Henry leaves behind: his children, Murphy Cardinal (Lilian), Karen Cardinal, Darryl Angus, Quincy Littlewolfe, Quentin Littlewolfe (Adrianne), Kevin Littlewolfe, Chad Littlewolfe (Gwen), Charlene Littlewolfe (Tanya), Cassandra Littlewolfe (Stephen), Kelsey Littlewolfe (Cherish), and his adopted son, Leandre Tootoosis; his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Cecilia Littlewolfe (Leslie Lonesinger), Richard Littlewolfe, John Donnie Littlewolfe, Virginia Littlewolfe-Hunter, Loretta (Ernest) Wolfe, Gordon (Leona) Cook, and Marjorie Waskewitch; his aunties, Isabelle Littlewolfe, Maggie Redcrow, and Clara Myo; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
