Obituary
With heavy hearts, the family of Helen Hansen announces her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 1st, 2021. Helen was born in Saint John on September 17, 1944 to the late Noel and Verna (Everett) Hansen. Helen loved the outdoors. Her passions included hunting, fishing and riding her ATV. Helen loved to cook and loved to feed anyone who passed through her doors. She was known for her sense of humour, her love of beer and her generous spirit. Helen worked most of her life as a waitress and a personal support worker. She had a strong work ethic. Helen was most proud of her grandchildren – Ashlyn (Alex Popa) Sanojca, Aryn (Graeme Guy) Sanojca, Kayle Coram-MacLean and Jess (Dylan Phillips) Marshall. They were her pride and joy. She is pre deceased by her parents, her son Robert Coram, granddaughter Brandi Coram-MacLean, husband Dennis Hossack and partner Bill Stout.
Helen is survived by her daughters Audrey (Andrew) Sanojca and Laurie (Alec) Coram-MacLean, step-children Sherri Hossack, Susie Hossack, Neil Hossack and Ronald Hossack. Her brothers Victor (Patricia) Hansen, Darryl (Mary) Hansen, Wayne (Rosanne) Hansen and sister Carol Raynes, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service, and a graveside service will take place in St. Andrews in the Spring. Donations to the Red Head Strays Helping Stray Cats Strut, Charlotte County SPCA or St. George Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
