Helen’s Obituary
On November 7, 2021 Helen 9Miciak) Fischer passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 90 years old. Born and raised in Bruce, Alberta, Helen met her husband George and moved to Edmonton where she raised her sons. Helen was predeceased by her husband, George, and two of her sons, George Jr. and Jason. She is survived by her four sons Calvin, Aaron, Ian and Elston, daughters-in-law Debbie, Leighanne and Lara, and grandchildren, Danielle, Darby, Logan and Madeleine. Helen was known for her tireless volunteer work, including 30+years at the Hardisty Seniors Home, and her love of curling. She also never missed an opportunity to cheer on her Oilers every season. Most of all, she has left behind a family that loves her and that will miss her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Holy Heart of Mary, Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Father as the Celebrant. Committal to follow at the Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, Alberta.
