It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Hedderson announces her passing after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, April 18th, 2021, at the age of 52 years. Elaine was sick for a significant portion of her life and Susie devoted her life to her care. Words cannot begin to describe the love and nurturing that Susie provided over the last half a century to ensure that Elaine had the best possible life. Elaine and Susie made countless trips to Curtis Memorial Hospital and to the Janeway over the years, and is forever grateful for the care from the health care teams, too numerous to mention; and for the prayers and support from all her former and current pastoral care and church community. Elaine will be forever remembered by her loving mother Susie and her children Terry (Natalie) ; Ella (Wayne), and Dwight (Mary). Elaine will also be fondly remembered by her close family members- Margaret and Jim Wight, Sybil Hiller, Francis and Ernest Hedderson, Walter and Nellie Bennett, Aaron and Noah , Terry and Stephanie, Dillon and Elizabeth, Matthew and Robyn , Jenna, Bryan. Elaine was predeceased by her father, John, and her brother, Bryan. She has been cared for throughout the years by numerous homecare workers, who have been a mountain of support for Elaine and Susie. Private visitation to take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 12 pm – 1:30 pm to followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, St. Lunaire-Griquet, with Pastor Bill Harnum officiating. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, attendance at the church service, and visitation, starting from 2:00 pm on April 21st will be by invitation only. Interment will follow in the cemetery at Quirpon. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.
