Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce that on June 25, 2021 Harry left Earth to meet his Father in Heaven.
Harry is survived by his loving family: Peggy Peterson and four children, Kim Peterson, Michael Peterson, Angie (Mark) Baumgartner, and Sharla (Warren) Nimchuk; five grandchildren, Cyle (Liberty), Amy (Dylan), and Jayde (Leah) Baumgartner, and Chantelle (Chelsea) and Sasha (Brayden) Nimchuk; as well as one great-grandson Joseph Baumgartner.
Harry was predeceased by his parents Annie & Gunner Peterson; his sister Phyllis Slater; niece Ellen Friesen; nephew Doug Slater; and his grandson Joey Nimchuk.
Harry was a kind gentle soul that moved through life selflessly with grace and humble disposition. He had the ability to walk into a room and fill it with light. He had a carefree attitude and loved to have fun and share his voluminous joy with those around him. He often enjoyed playing pranks, such as putting artificial flowers in his neighbour’s flower bed and waiting to see how long it would take for them to notice.
He had a heart the size of a mountain and reflected this love on so many animals, friends, and family. His love for animals was ever standing; he had so many different dogs of which he loved unconditionally in their own unique ways. He even had a few squirrels that he would feed in his shed.
Harry was a blessing to those around him. He would stop to breathe in the small things in life, often taking the time to appreciate the flowers growing, the animals, the birds, and the way the trees would sway in the wind.
His love of life was contagious and he will be so greatly missed by so many.
Harry’s family will celebrate his life in a private ceremony.
