Obituary of Harold Galenzoski
GALENZOSKI, Harold
Harold Philip Galenzoski passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the age of 93 years. He was born October 27, 1927 on the family farm north of Southey, SK. Harold was predeceased by his parents Karl and Anna (nee Huber) Galenzoski; and brothers Charlie, Lloyd and twins Ron and Bob. He was also predeceased by his wives Maxine and Mavis. Harold is survived by his children Gaylene (Roger) Weir, Darrell, Susan (Michel) Reinberg, and Tom; his step-children Rod Hilderman, Bob (Jan) Hilderman, Jeff (Tanis) Hilderman, and Diane (Kelly) Jamison; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister Irene Martin; sisters-in-law Madelaine, Judy, Bev (Galenzoski), and Barb Hirsch; and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired at 65 from the Co-op Refinery after 37 years of service. Harold was active in politics, the cooperative movement, family history, camping, and loved to watch sports. He lived a long and healthy life up until his decline in 2021. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 1C5. Memorial Service attendance is by invitation only. Friends and family so wishing may make donations, in memory of Harold, to the Salvation Army, 2240 13th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3M7 or to the Canadian Red Cross, 2050 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK S4P 2K5.
