Obituary
After a short battle with Cancer, in his 74th year. Harold passed away peacefully with his wife and two daughters by his side to help him through his journey. Beloved husband to Joan Way (Perrault) of 51 yrs, dear father of Angela Joyce (Peter) and Darlene Ruttan (Tim). Loving Grandfather to Taylor, Katie, Brooke, and Andy. Predeceased by his parents Neville and Rita Way. Brother to John (Yvonne), Gene (Peggy), Irene McGinnis (John), Rose Marie Kennedy (late Clarence). He was a contractor most of his career, and built many houses, and cottages in the area. He loved farming, hunting, and working in his shop. Harold had a special bond with both of his daughters which included horses and hunting. In his last years Harold and Joan shared a few extra special memories. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, made trips to Hawaii, the Grand Cannon, Alaska, and Newfoundland which had been a life long dream for both of them. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Curran and Liz Norris for their superb professional care. Also the nurses and care providers in Acute Care at Lennox and Addington County Hospital for all their excellent support. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Tamworth on Thursday, February 25th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Please call 613-379-2997 during business hours to set a time for your attendance as numbers are limited, masks are mandatory. Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of Assumption, Erinsville for family, close friends and relatives with limited attendance will be held on Friday, February 26th at 11am. The mass can be viewed at that time on Face book Live by accessing the home page of the church website at www.smrcp.ca. Interment to follow at Assumption Parish Cemetery. If you choose, donations made to Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
