Obituary
Hannah Marie MacKinnon
Dingwall
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Hannah on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Buchanan Memorial Hospital. She was born August 15, 1933 at Lowland Cove and worked hard to support her family of 8. She was the first resident at Alex Capstick Manor, where she became a caregiver to many residents, and spent the last seven years at Highland Manor with some life-long friends from Dingwall.
She enjoyed her family, baking, cooking and gardening. She could make a mean batch of bread. Despite many hardships she still had a continuous smile and a joke at heart.
Survived by her four children; Frances, Debbie (Clarence), Yvonne and Wanda (Harry). She is also survived by sisters; Christie (Chester), Rosie, Effie, and brother John Roy (Shoggie), 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents Rory and Cassie, her only son Joey, daughters; Anita, Carolyn, and Bernadette, the father of her children Frank Fraser, lifelong partner Gerald Seymour, sisters; Katie Mae, Dolly, Tina, brothers; John A, Wilson and Roy.
Service and burial will be at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Highland Manor, Neil’s Harbour. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
