Obituary
BYE, Hazel Aleita (nee Phillips)
« But don’t call me Hazel »
An amazing lady has earned her wings and joined her beloved husband Jack who predeceased Aleita in 2010 and enfant son Dick in 1948. She is the loving mother of Elaine (Alan) Boxwell and Tom Bye. Fun loving grandma of Lorelee (Derek) Egeberg and John (Alice) Boxwell. Proud great-grandma of Sydney, Austin and Jaimee Egeberg and Larissa Boxwell. Predeceased by parents Sarah (nee Booth) and Melville Phillips and brother Lesley (Annie) Phillips. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and extended family to mourn her passing.
Aleita was happiest cooking and baking in her kitchen making everyone’s favourite food. She was an avid card player for years and later with grandkids and great grandkids. Always up for a car ride, yard saleing, praticle jokes, family gatherings or a good laugh.
Thank you to the very caring and compassionate health care workers in Huntsville and Barrie.
In keeping with Aleita’s wishes, cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
