GRIFFITH, Elsie
November 29, 1929 — October 15, 2021
Elsie passed away on October 15, 2021, in Kelowna, BC. She was born in Shell Lake, SK to her parents, August and Mary, on November 29, 1929. She moved to Kelowna in 1978 after several decades in the Kootenays.
Elsie is survived by her children Earl, Barbara and Aaron; grandchildren Daneille and Ryan; and great-grandchildren Michael, Lataya and Nevada.
Mom was an excellent cook and baker. There was always homemade baked goods for visitors, and even in her later years, neighbours in her apartment building would be drawn to visit with the smell of fresh-baked bread.
Mom loved her friends and would host birthday parties for them, often involving some comedy routine that she wrote that would be acted out by other friends and neighbours.
Fiercely independent, she had no problem speaking her mind when she felt wronged.
She will be missed.
