LEIS, Gregory:
Kitchener has one less bicycle on its streets after the passing of Greg, age 30, at St Mary’s Hospital on November 22, 2021. Gregory Evan was born on April 3, 1991, at KW Hospital.
Predeceased by his grandmas Judy & Rita, as well as his Auntie Linda.
Greg is survived by his mother Natalie (Kev) Hodge, father Rick (Angela) Leis and sister Shauna. He leaves behind his beloved & cherished children Jordan (mother, Tiff) & Sadie (mother, Kasey). Greg will be dearly missed by his grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and girlfriend Crystal. He will be lovingly remembered by his bonus mom, Angie.
Greg was more than his addictions and struggles; he was fiercely funny, strong-willed, hardworking, loyal, charming and had an infectious smile. He loved music and dogs. Always on the move, his preferred method of transportation was by bicycle. He would often be seen cruising down the road with no hands on the handlebars. Born with a taste for adventure, he started riding Shauna’s pink big wheel down the stairs in the walkway as a toddler and graduated to riding quads, dirt bikes and snowmobiles on the Power Line trail to the Elephant Tree and Red.com. Growing up, he loved spending weekends at the cottage, summers at the Bungalow, and camping at Long Point.
Special thanks to the Working Centre, Local EMS and ER Staff at St Mary’s hospital for all of your support and care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Working Centre would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home (519-749-8467).
