MAYNARD, Gordon (Harold)
It is with great sadness that we announce Gordon’s passing on Thursday, February 4th, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. We are comforted that Gordon is now reunited with his loving wife, Ann Maynard (Whitmarsh), who passed away in 2011. Cherished father of Ken (Sandy) and Karen Boese (Brian). Loving Grandpa of Ben Maynard and Melissa Gowan and treasured Poppa of Kaitlyn and Alexandra Boese. Gordon has one great grandchild, William (Billy) Gowan. Gordon is the son of the late Harold Albert Maynard and Edna Ophelia Maynard (nee Henderson) of Westport. He is survived by his brother Howard Maynard (the late Norma). He is predeceased by his brother Bill Maynard (Dorothy). Gordon is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He always had a smile and a story for everyone who crossed his path. Gordon only saw the best in people and never missed an opportunity to help others. Due to the COVID – 19 restrictions, his family will be holding a private ceremony at Glenburnie United Church, officiated by Reverend Elizabeth Boehm-Wilson. Interment to follow at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, (2563 Division Street, Kingston). When it is safe to gather together, a memorial service will be announced. Donations in Gordon’s memory can be made to The Salvation Army.
