Gordon M. Marshall, 89, of
Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday,
September 3, 2021.
Born in Saint John, he was the
son of the late David and Jessie (Burns)
Marshall.
Gordon was retired from Bell
Alliant (NB Tel) with 36 years’ service. He was a member of
St. John the Baptist Anglican Church and the Men’s Club
within the Church; a 32nd Degree Mason; member and Past Master of
Keith Lodge #23, F. & A.M., member of Saint John Luxor Shrine
Temple and the Moncton Shrine Club, member of the Royal Order of
Scotland, Past Patron and member of Fidelity Chapter #36, O.E.S. and a
member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Gordon enjoyed a daily
afternoon toddy, doing crossword puzzles, watching curling, the
Toronto Blue Jays and his beloved New England
Patriots.
Gordon will be sadly missed by
his wife of 68 years, Shirley (Speight); children, David (Gloria) of
Moncton, Brady and Mary, both of Riverview; grandchildren, Laurie
Anne, Amy, Jessica and Blair; six great grandchildren; one great,
great granddaughter; sister, Norma vonJena of Connecticut; and several
nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by his brother, Keith.
Visitation will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Keith Lodge #23, F.
& A. M. memorial service followed by a Fidelity Chapter #36,
O.E.S. service will take place prior to visitation. A service to
celebrate and honour Gordon’s life will be held from St.
John the Baptist Anglican Church, Woolridge Street, Riverview, on
Monday, September 6, 2021 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Julian Pillay and
Archdeacon Brent Ham officiating. A reception will follow the service.
Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens.

a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
