Brent Marcotte passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 66 years. Brent will be dearly missed by his wife Sandra Marcotte; their son Brandon Marcotte (Andrea); his mother Lorraine Marcotte, of Calgary; two brothers Bruce of Vancouver Island, BC and Wayne of Calgary; and many other relatives and friends. Brent was predeceased by his father Arthur Marcotte.
Brent was born and raised in Kinistino, SK. After high school he moved to Calgary with his family and worked side by side with his father at their family business Arlo Building Services. Their business proudly maintained & serviced Greyhound Canada buildings. Brent was a Journeyman Electrician and could fix or repair almost anything. Brent met Sandra at a Calgary Ski Club event and their romance took root and grew, leading to their marriage a few years later. They welcomed Brandon into their family a few years later. Brent enjoyed woodworking and has left his family many treasures. He loved golf, curling, chess and weekly games of crib with his buddies. As an avid sports fan, he cheered for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Calgary Flames and Green Bay Packers. Brent had a great sense of humour, was loud and full of laughter. He was a wonderful husband and father and we will dearly miss him.
A Celebration of Brent’s life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Vaccination proof or negative Covid tests are required. The Celebration will be broadcast live at us02web.zoom.us/j/88015704288.
