Pauls, George suddenly at his summer home at Marble Lake on Sunday September 4, 2021. George leaves behind his wife and best friend of the past 57 years Joan (nee Gordon). George grew up in Mose Ambrose (a small outport on the south coast of Newfoundland) He was a hard working man who took great pleasure in helping others. A fiercely proud Newfoundlander who loved to meet new people and treated all who knew him with the grace and charm of any outport east coaster. He was a dedicated father to Steven Pauls, Quebec; Patty Pauls (Kevin Hansen), Wolfe Island; and Cindy Koopman (Jay, deceased), Tampa. Extremely proud Grandfather to George Pauls, Allison Pauls, Dakota Koopman, Jacob Hansen and great granddaughter Aubrey. Loving brother to Beatrice Brown (Alex), Cobourg; Reta McCormick (Larry, deceased), Camden East; Linda Baker, Port Perry; Jim (Lois), Camden East; Howard (Patti), Verona & Vera Pauls, Newburgh. Exceptional Brother in law to John Gordon (deceased) (Dianna, deceased), Napanee; Charles Gordon, Madoc; Lynn Gordon (Mary, deceased), Napanee; Mary Ellen Wales (David), Napanee; and David Gordon (Dawn), Napanee. George very much had a special place in his heart for all of his nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee Chapel on Thursday from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. Funeral Service from St Mary Magdalene Church on Friday at 11 am.
