Obituary
GENEVA (GINNY) KAREN KILLALY
September 30, 1961- February 9, 2021
Ginny was born in Rimbey, Alberta on September 30, 1961. She was a very curious and loving child, caring for and leading her younger siblings on many exciting adventures. Ginny received her primary education at Thorsby High School, where she excelled in sports, especially track and field and volleyball. She later studied Fine Arts at Northern Lights College, and received her Education Assistant Certificate from Red Deer College. Ginny loved connecting with children, and touched the hearts of many parents and children that she was involved with.
Ginny had a great love for all creatures great and small. Her heart was always full when she was with her furry friends. Whether riding her horse Dusty, jogging with Jake, or snuggling with Fluffy or Kirby, she always had a smile on her face.
Ginny’s greatest love was her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. She committed her life to living the way Jesus wanted her too, sharing His love with others through words, gestures, and acts of kindness and love.
Ginny is survived by her loving mother, Geneva Thompson; her siblings, Cheryle Free, Kathi Fischer, Patrick Killaly, Valerie(Douglas) McLean, Stuart(Irene) Killaly, Christine Killaly, and Kelly(Wayne) Barnes. Ginny is also survived by her nephews and nieces; Murray, Janine, and Dayson Free, Craig Fischer, Jamie (Fred) and Kacie Killay and Jax Chiasson, Christopher (Tara), Casey, and Jesse Gunsch, Nicholas (De-anna), Morgan, Madison, and Mason Gunsch, Anthony and Aaron McLean, Sage Moos and Arya Mclean, Logan and Taylor Killaly, and Dustin Stevens
Ginny was preceded in death by her father, Walter Killaly; her step-father, Aln Thompson; sisters; Colleen Deschamps and Virginia Lee Killaly; and nephew, Chance Taylor.
Ginny’s kind, compassionate, and loving nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
