Gary Victor Wortley, age 79, of Stratford, formerly of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Stratford General Hospital with his loving wife of 54 years, Harriet Ann (Spezowka) Wortley by his side. He was the loving father of Jeff (Simone) Wortley and grandfather of Dale and Wren Wortley. Dear brother of Muriel (the late Larry) St. Louis, George (Ruth) Wortley, Wayne (the late Jackie) Wortley, and predeceased by Leonard (Evelyn) Wortley, Marguerite (Joe) Russo, Kathleen (Bill) Owad, Norman (survived by Barb) Wortley and Doug (survived by Irene) Wortley. Gary will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Gary was born in Windsor and was a proud Patterson Panther as both a student and teacher. He practiced law in the City of Windsor for many years and retired to Stratford, Ontario where he returned to his love of working with horses.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Gary’s life on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 12 – 3p.m. in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home. (Words of remembrance at 1:00 p.m.). Those wishing to attend must show proof of double vaccination and must wear a face covering.
