Garth is survived by his daughter Brook; brothers Orvin (Onee), Kirby (Francis), and Brent (Tanya); sister Debbie (Galen); uncles Darrell Strongman Sr. (Marianne), Mitch Minde, and Eldon Bear (Little Pine Sask.); aunties Charlene Burns (Russell), Nancy Ermineskin, Helen Bull, and Bull sisters; adopted mom/auntie Flora Northwest; as well as all his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the Strongman family.
He was predeceased by his mother Phyllis Strongman; father Jonas Cattleman; sister Lorinda Strongman; auntie Georgina and uncle Rod Baptiste Sr.; uncle Orval Strongman; uncle Orland Strongman Sr.; grandparents John and Emily Strongman; Joe and Jenny Cattleman; kokum Rosie Littlepoplar; nephew Elliot Strongman; niece Farrah Bull-Strongman; and his best friend (pet dog) Storm.
