It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who passed peacefully away at the US Memorial Health Care Centre on February 23, 2021.
Garnett was predeceased by his beautiful granddaughter Megan Felix, parents Simeon and Dorothy, his brothers George, Leonard, and Herman, brothers-in-law, Anselm Cox, Ernest Price, sister-in-law Ann, and Alma.
Leaving with fond and loving memories his wife Anniebelle whom he loved dearly of 53 years. His 2 children whom he adored, Wayne (Bonny), Denise (Shane), 3 Grandchildren that he cherished with his whole heart, Hannah, Brad, and Mason. His siblings whom always brought joy, Margaret, Eric (Phoebe), Cora (John), Clara, Rose, Marjorie (Greg), Simeon (Melita), Vera (Bill), and sisters-in-law Gladys, Elsie, and Pearl. A large number of nieces and nephews whom he thought the world of, all were special but he shared many of phone calls and love of hockey and Y&R with his very special nephew Howard (Gloria).
A special thank you to Cora & Eric for being by his side in-these hard Covid times when other family members were not permitted to see him. Also a special thank you to all the wonderful staff at the USM hospital, it was because of their dedication and kindness that gave us comfort that he was in the right place receiving the right care.
Due to Covid restrictions the family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
If you wish to donate in Garnett’s memory you may do so to the Fortune Arena, this was chosen because of his love of hockey and watching his grandkids in the arena.
