Obituary
Garnet was born and raised on the family farm outside Harris, Saskatchewan. He attended Silver Cloud Country School. As a young man he helped his father run the farm and remained there until he and his parents moved to Harris. He continued to farm until its sale. Garnet continued to live with and care for his parents for the remainder of their lives. He was a loving son.
Garnet enjoyed growing things and always had a bountiful vegetable garden. He was a hard worker and always kept his yard neat and well manicured. He volunteered to maintain the Harris Cemetery grounds and often could be seen cutting the grass on his ride on lawn mower. Garnet was a rather solitary, quiet man but could always be relied upon to lend a hand when needed.
Garnet moved to Rose Villa in Rosetown, Saskatchewan when he needed more care and spent the remainder of his life in the Long-Term Facility. He passed away on December 12, 2021 after a short stay in the Rosetown Hospital.
Garnet was predeceased by his siblings Evon, Lloyd, Stanley and Joan. He is survived by brother Gerald, nephew Wayne, niece Gwen, cousins Audrey, Don, Darlene and Donna.
As per Garnet’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held.
