Passed away in her 84th year after a brief battle with cancer at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood, on Monday, July 5, 2021. Bernice Freure, of Collingwood, and formerly of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of 59 years of the late Douglas Freure. Loving mother of Janice (Rob) Lafave of Grand Valley, Dianne (John) Bayens of Springwater and Blake (Valerie) Freure of Wasaga Beach. Cherished grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 7 and great-great grandmother of 2. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Ann (Doug) and Edna (Roger) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Flo (Leo) and sister-in-law Doreen.
Bernice was a devoted member of the Wasaga Community Church for 20 years and most recently after her move to Collingwood, she became a proud member of the Collingwood Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer at Sunset Manor and was always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.
