Freeman Harold Loder
June 06, 1947 – September 28, 2021
If you asked a hundred people who Freeman Loder was, they’d all give the same answer. A quiet, soft spoken man whose actions spoke way louder than his voice. The one who dropped everything to help another.
Freeman passed away suddenly on September 28th, 2021 leaving a large circle of family and friends. Left in sorrow are his loving wife Joan of 50 years; daughter Valerie, son-in-law Frank; his pride and joy, granddaughter Alex; brothers Andrew (Vivian), Gary; sisters Hilda, Linda (Fred), Norma (Rick); cousin George (Pam) and special friends Lester, Travis, Lesley and Jackie.
Freeman is predeceased by his parents Richard and Edna, brother Josiah and brother-in-law John.
Freeman fished the open waters in his younger years until moving to Wabush in 1980 to work for Scully Mines. There he embraced the new life in Labrador enjoying the outdoors and spending time at the cabin. Upon retirement Freeman and Joan relocated to Swift Current until his final days.
At Freeman’s request a cremation has taken place and a small celebration of life will occur at a later date.
