Frederick Young
1934-2021
EMERSON, NB – Frederick Young 87, of Emerson passed
away peacefully, with his family by his side at the Rexton Lions
Nursing Home in Rexton on Monday, September 20, 2021. Born
in Bryants Corner, he was the son of the late Cail Young and late
Stella (Burke) Young. Fred was a member of St.
Paul’s Anglican Church in Browns Yard. He enjoyed
working in the woods and farming and delivered the mail for Canada
Post for 35 years. He loved horses and always had
one. He was loved by all who knew him and always had time
for a chat and to tell a few stories.
Fred will be sadly missed by his children, Roger Young of
Emerson; daughters, Bonnie Cudmore (Ronald) of Lutz Mountain, Cathy
Roberts (Louie) of Fords Mills; ten grandchildren, Pamela, Owen,
Dustin, Rhonda, Roxanne, Christine, Charlene, Jessie, Brenna, Amber
and families; twenty-one great grandchildren and four great great
grandchildren.
He is also survived by his special niece, Gloria Young many
other nieces, nephews; two sisters-in-law, Irma Young of Harcourt and
Rita Mitchell (late Lloyd) of Bryants Corner.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of
62 years, Eunice (Flanagan) Young; one sister, Marie Fisher and one
brother, Amon Young.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
on Thursday from 7-9 pm (ONLY). A Funeral Service will be
held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 4:00 pm at St. Paul’s
Anglican Church in Brown’s Yard.
The family wish to express a sincere thank you to Dr. John
MacCleave, Dr. Michelle LeBlanc and the staff at the Rexton Lions
Nursing Home for all their kind and compassionate care of
Fred.
Visitors are required to provide proof of vaccination, masks
are mandatory and we ask that social distancing is
respected.
