Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Frank’s passing after a long and difficult battle with lung cancer in Hinton, Alberta at the age of 76.
Frank grew up working along with his parents and siblings on the family farm in Hardisty, AB. He found his true passion in prospecting for gold. His search for gold led him and his family on many adventures in which he explored numerous locations across North America. Frank was a hard worker throughout his life and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement in Arizona during the winter months and loved camping in the summer months.
Frank’s storytelling was the greatest, he was always entertaining and hilarious. He could captivate an audience’s attention, and always had a story to tell that would resonate with the crowd long after the story was over. Some of our fondest memories were listening to his stories around the campfire.
Frank leaves to mourn his beloved wife Rhonda Harris of 30 years; daughters, Jamie (Allen),
Amanda Mae, Vera Lynn, Donna Marie and his son Darryl, as well as his brothers Cliff (Chris),
Ben (Kelly) and Danny. Frank also leaves to mourn his very dear lifelong friends, John and Dee Sarasin. No words can express how much they meant to him! We are and will be forever grateful for your friendship. He will also be lovingly remembered by numerous other families & friends. Frank was predeceased by his father Leonard and mother Lillie (Margaret) Harris.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Beamish, the staff at the Hinton Continuing Care Center and the nurses at the Hinton General Hospital for his care and comfort while in continuing care.
Frank requested that no Funeral Service would be held. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
