87 years, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Antonino Figliomeni (October 15, 2020) for 68 years.
Loving mother of Rosa Cioci (Dino), Vita Pace (Mel), Vito Figliomeni (Sina), Antonina Esposito (Vince). Cherished nonno of 13 grandchildren and proud bisnonno of 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of late Lina Mineo (late Vito), late Anna Catanese (late Salvatore), Pierina Adragna (Gaspare), Maria Contino (late Pino), Sarina Mantia (late Nino), late Salvatore Rubino (late Anna), late Giuseppe Rubino (late Pina), Gaetano Rubino (Noella), Nicola Rubino (Maria). Dear sister-in-law of the late Vincenzo (late Annina), late Rosina Aiello (late Diego), late Francesco (late Maria), late Carlo (late Vittina), late Domenico (late Margarita), Giuseppe (late Gracia), late Giovanna Giacalone (late Antonino), Laureato (late Maria Assunta), Victoria Ballestieri (late Giuseppe), Italia DiCarlo (late Giacomo), Albert (Carol), Salvatore (Jane), Lina Fiore (Giovanni), late Vincenzo, late Julia, late Michela, late Alberto and 5 stillborn children. Special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to our neighbours Anna and Henry Unger and Maria Bergen for their care, compassion and support over the many years. Francesca loved to cook for family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time at the Casino, reading and spent 30 years in Florida. Francesca and Antonino loved to dance together. Thank you to the VON, Bayshore and St. Elizabeth staff for their care. You know who you are that touched our mom’s heart. And we are grateful for it.
Visitation at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Michael’s Church, 29 Elliott Street, Leamington at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Erie Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation and Mass is limited to a specific number of visitors. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in. Please book an appointment at www.reidfuneralhome.ca. Everyone must wear a mask. If desired, memorial donations made by cheque to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Erie Shores Hospice (Hospice Erie Shores Campus) would be appreciated.
