Eva’s Obituary
Eva Mae (Gavel) Ringer – 92, of Lockeport, passed away Sunday April 4th, 2021 at Roseway Manor, Shelburne, N.S.
Born in Upper Canaan, Yarmouth County, she was the daughter of the late Myra (Hurlbert) Gavel and Andrew Gavel.
In her working life she was employed as a PCW at both Surf Lodge and Atlantic Heights. Eva loved gardening (all types of plants and flowers), knitting and baking.
Eva is survived by her foster sister Hazel Hurlbert, 2 daughters; Yvonne (Decker) Williams, Laura Lee (Ringer) Poole and son; Michael Ringer. Grandchildren; Jennifer (Williams) MacIntosh, Patrick Williams. Great-Grandchildren; Connor & Madelyne MacIntosh, Amelia and Lennon Williams.
She is predeceased by her parents, Myra and Andrew Gavel, First Husband; Harry Decker, sister; Marjorie, brother; Harold and Second Husband Charles Ringer.
Arrangements are under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, as per Eva’s wishes she will be cremated and a committal service will be held at a later date.
