Ethel Louise Cottrell
June 16, 1937 – September 15, 2021
Ethel Louise Cottrell of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba passed away on September 15th, 2021 at the Pinewa Hospital. Although her death was unexpected, it was peaceful.
Born Ethel Louise Johnston, on June 26th of 1937, in Mafeking, Manitoba to parents Campbell and Dorothy (nee Zarn) Johnston, Ethel had three siblings: Edith (Mac), Charlie (Doris) and Dale (Marietta).
Ethel is predeceased by her parents, her sister Edith and her brother Charlie, and also by her husband Albert.
Ethel lived for many years in Wabowden, Manitoba, and worked as a grocery clerk there while Albert was the Highways foreman.
She had two sons and a daughter: Brian (Lynda), Floyd (Darlene), and Caroline (Tim).
She is survived by all her children, by three grandchildren: Keith, Heather and Karen, and by three great-granddaughters: Meredith, Rachel and Hollis.
Ethel always had time for a game of cards with friends or family, and enjoyed watching the Jets games with friends or joining them at the Legion.
A small graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 25th at 11:00am at the RM of LdB cemetery on Smith Road.
