Esther Zelikovic
On Thursday, May 13, 2021. Courageous survivor of the holocaust. Much beloved Matriarch of her family. Wife of the late Yehuda Zvi (Herman) Zelikovic and the late Jules Zikman. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Helen and Harry Liberman, Sandra Zelikovic and David Barzilay, Allan Zelikovic and Wendy Sheinberg. Adored Bubbie of Sender Liberman and Tony Saker, Moishe Liberman and Tali Kopel, Dan Liberman and Alissa Weinstein; Uriel Barzilay and Jessica Kokin, Joshua Barzilay; Zachary Zelikovic, Jeremy Zelikovic and Tara Doustar, and Kelsey Sheinberg. Super Bubbie of Maayan, Ariele and Lila Liberman, Noa and Jonah Liberman-Saker; Maya and Dylan Barzilay. Loving sister of the late Aron Rosman and sister-in-law of Shoshana Rosman. Esther and her beloved brother Aron survived the holocaust, while their parents the late Avrum and the late Chaya Rosman and four other brothers, the late Alter, the late Shyia, the late Moishe and the late Shloimie did not. Although the trauma lived in her heart she made a new life, first in Israel and then in Canada with her husband and partner Herman. Esther was a successful businesswoman, well matched to her husband, the builder. After Herman passed, she enjoyed many years with Jules. She was a statuesque woman who was wise beyond her years. She was our rock, defender, and advocate. She loved her family above all. We have fond memories of watching scary movies late at night, a summer in the country, cooking and baking, and most of all she always gave us great advice but not too heavy handed. We thank, from the bottom of our hearts, the life she lived with Concordia Pasco and Loida Racho. We are eternally grateful to their devotion and care to her every desire.
