Huber; Erwin « Winz » – Passed away peacefully at his home in Kingston in his 88th year on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Predeceased by his second wife Susan Huber and by his first wife late Hedwig Huber-Erne. Loving father to Esty Connors (husband Gord Connors), and Judy Huber (husband Chris Gray), and step-father of Annamarie Erne, Monica Wales-Erne, Andreas Erne, and Susi Walters. He will be missed by his sister Martha Huber.
Erwin was born and raised in Switzerland where he trained to become a chalet builder and Master carpenter. He emigrated with his family to Canada in 1962. He worked for Friendship Construction in Kingston for many decades before his retirement. He was an exceptionally talented wood-worker which, along with golf, was his passion. He could understand the mechanics of, and repair, just about anything. He had a wry sense of humour and prided himself on his hard work, self-sufficiency, and independence.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
