Elliott was born and grew up in Botwood, NL. As a young man, he earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Earth Sciences, maintaining membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists and contributing to the field of resource development and processing throughout his career. Elliott was deeply intelligent and was a naturally gifted problem solver. He was a hockey fan, an amateur IT expert, and an outstanding cook. Elliott loved nothing more than to make others laugh. He was often found at the center of a crowd, entertaining with a story or offering comedic relief. His sense of humour and his wit were unmatched.
Above all, Elliott’s true passion was his family and friends. His unwavering devotion to his wife, children, extended family and friends was evident throughout his life. No investment was too great to serve those he loved and his thought, time and effort were prioritized to bring joy, laughter and comfort to those around him. When it came to those he loved, there wasn’t a moment big or small, that he failed to show up for.
Elliott heroically battled cancer three times and displayed unfathomable strength, determination and integrity through those battles, as he did throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Gathering Place or the Canadian Cancer Society.
In keep with the COVID-19 guidelines there will be a visitation Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Botwood Fuenral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.
