Obituary of Elizabeth Dowdell Warren
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 100 years.
Today, we her family, are not mourning her loss but celebrating the amazing life of Betty, Mom, Gramma and Great Gramma! Betty (nee Rappel) was born on September 14, 1920 in Ottawa Ontario. She married the love of her life, Russell Arden Warren and enjoyed 66 years of wedded bliss until Russ’s passing in 2009 at the age of 92. Betty had two wonderful children, Barbara Taylor and Robert (Bob) Warren who left her too early. Barb passed away in 1999 at the age of 53 and Bob passed away at the age of 61. However, Betty has been so lucky to be surrounded by the love and support of her daughter-in-law, Barbara Warren, her son-in-law, Peter Taylor, her 8 grandchildren (Greg and Debra Taylor, Deanne and Kyle Grodzinski, Jennifer and James Cuthbertson, Jeff and Remy Warren) and her 10 great-grandchildren (Julianne, Samantha, and Braden Taylor, Abby and Allyse Grodzinski, Charlotte, Ali and Pyper Cuthbertson, and Curtis and Carson Warren)!
A special thank you to the kind and caring staff at Parkwood Mennonite Home! Betty would not have reached her 100th birthday without their kindness and support!
