Obituary
Beth passed away peacefully at the age of Age 90 in Edson, Alberta on March 22, 2021 at 11am in the Edson Hospital (Continuing Care Unit), with her daughter and grand daughter by her side.
Beth was born January 4th, 1931 in Calgary Alberta to parents Arthur and Lucy Noble. Beth was the second child born with an older brother Jim and two younger sisters Peggy and Jean Ann. Beth Married Glenn Welsh in Calgary, Alberta August 4th, 1953 and had three daughters Patty, Nancy and Judy. Beth was mainly a home maker but had many jobs later in life including a bus driver and a nanny. Beth lived in Calgary until 1987 and then headed west to Chase, BC, where she lived at her beloved Cabin at Adams Lake. Beth met her second husband Richard Rimell and they lived in Enderby, BC until Beth was diagnosed with cancer and moved to Edson, Alberta to be closer to family in 2000. Beth was known for her love of singing. Growing up her father would often play the piano and the family would sing together. She passed on this love to her children and grandchildren, on family trips they would sing the whole way not turning on the radio once the whole trip. Beth was very proud of her Scottish heritage and taught the family songs and sayings she learned from her father.
Most of all Beth was an amazing survivor and fought and won against three different cancers, one resulted in brain surgery, one was a breast removal and finally oral cancer. She had multiple hip replacement surgeries and later in life mini strokes that left her blind in one eye and deaf in one ear, but nothing could take away her spirit, graciousness, kindness and love of life and her family, even through dementia toward the end of her life. Beth was the mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, family member we all aspire to be and we will feel the loss of her loving and kind presence always. Beth gave us a legacy of family, love, singing and dancing which we will continue on, all that she taught and gave us.
Beth is survived by her three daughters: Patty Michael (Laird) of Riverhurst, Saskatchewan, Nancy Welsh of Campbell River, British Columbia and Judy Klyne of Edson, Alberta.
6 grandchildren: Maureen Scovile (Curtis), Black Creek, BC, Michelle Klyne, Calgary, AB, Jennifer Delorme (Kevin), Edson, AB, Ken Michael (Leslie), Edmonton, AB, Lindsey Klyne, Drayton Valley, AB and Shawn Michael, Edmonton, AB.
