Obituary of Eldon Vincent Ferguson

After a lionhearted battle with cancer, Eldon lost his fight on Easter Monday Morning at 5:55 am, surrounded by family and friends. He leaves to mourn his spouse of 42 years Irene Nichols, his children, Kelly (Michael Klinowski), Bob (Petrena), James (Meg), his step children, Cynthia (late Karl Fick), Sherry-Lee (Ken Windle) and Jorden. His much loved grandchildren, Maya (Quin), Skye , Ronin, and Owen.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Viola Ferguson (Blackburn). His sisters and their husbands Marjorie (Don) Anderson, Betty (Bill) Armstrong and June (Ben) Edgerton. Eldon will be sadly missed by his brothers and their spouses Jack (Alice) of Cobden, Keith (Lucille) of Round Lake Centre, his brother-in-law Carl Nichols (Della Charbonneau) and sister-in-law Thelma Nichols, and many much loved nieces and nephews.
Eldon will also be missed by his truly devoted tennis family and golf friends. The family wishes to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Anthony De Jesus, Dr. Ron Lavigne and his special in home nurse Brittany and the wonderful staff at RVH for their professional and compassionate care.
Respecting Eldon’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Mateway park Saturday May 8, 2021 (Covid-19 permitting).
In lieu of flowers donations to Eldon’s favorite charity Renfrew Valley Animal Rescue would be much appreciated.
