Elaine Mary Hawco
May 09, 1945 – November 19, 2021
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our “Laine”, she died peacefully at home with her Husband of 54 years and daughter by her side. She leaves behind many happy memories with Tony, her loving Daughter Ann Marie, Son-in-Law Jason and her pride & joy, grandson Brayden Chafe. Predeceased by her parents George & Mary (Poole) Carter, infant sister Janet, Mother-in-Law and bingo buddy, Emma Hawco, best friend Marg Strait and other extended family members and friends.
Elaine was the eldest child in the Carter family and will be sorely missed by all her brothers and sisters: Georgina (Justin) Martin, her best buddy, Stan (Margie deceased) Carter, Elizabeth (Ron) Wade, Rose (Mike) Brothers, Alex (Vera) Carter, Madonna (Joe) Fitzpatrick, Marie (Leo) Burke, John Carter (Marg Hayward), Valerie Carter-Gamberg, Gwen Carter, Linda (Deon) Whitten, Sheila Carter (Trevor Smith), Joanne (Kirk) Button, Gerry Carter and George (Stephanie) Carter. She also leaves to mourn many nieces & nephews and numerous other family members & friends. Elaine also had many years and laughs with her co-workers at Central Laundry (Eastern Health). She will be forever loved and always in our hearts.
The family would like to send a Thank You to Dr. Oosthuizen and the paramedics who tried very hard to keep her with us.
Resting at Caul’s Funereal Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday and Monday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from Caul’s Chapel at 10 a.m. For those who cannot attend the funeral in person but wish to do so virtually, please visit vimeo.com/event/1547890
Interment to follow at R.C. Cemetery, Kilbride. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
