Eileen’s Obituary
Supported by the love of her family, Eileen Rose passed away peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday September 21, 2021. She was 84 years of age. Beloved wife of 61 years to Ronald Rose. Devoted mother of Julie Goheen (Colin) and cherished ‘Umma’ to granddaughter Taylor. Forever remembered by her mother Stella Bullen, sister Kathleen Raynor (Stewart) and brother Thomas Bullen. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and many dear friends. Eileen was predeceased by her father William A.E. Bullen and brother William “Bill” Bullen. Ron and Eileen spent the majority of their lives in Port Hope and she was well known in the town due to her many years of working for local businesses and her tireless efforts in raising funds for the Hospital Auxiliary. She was a founding member of the Port Hope & District Healthcare Foundation and was recognized by Rotary International by being awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for her tireless efforts in raising funds for the Foundation. The Rose family would like to thank the excellent homecare received from the Nurses from Bayshore Healthcare and Doctors, Nurses and support staff at the Brantford General Hospital who cared for Eileen during her illness.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home Ltd. In accordance with Eileen’s request, there will be no services held and cremation has already taken place. Eileen spent her life loving her family dearly. To honour her memory, please cherish your loved ones, learn to live in the moment and value the time you are able to spend together. In Eileen’s memory, donations to the Port Hope & District Healthcare Foundation (porthopefoundation.ca/) would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
