It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Edward Johnson of Grand Bank announces his passing. Edward passed peacefully away of natural causes on Friday, August 13th, 2021 in Whiteway, NL at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are sons, Kevin (Renee) Johnson, David (Joann) Johnson; daughters, Patsy (John) Power, Stephanie (Fergus) McGrath; son in-law, Alvin Pittman; sister, Grace Baker; stepsisters, Jennette Saunders, Winnie Cribb, Sharon Lomond, Theresa Hatcher, Pearl Osbourne; stepbrothers, Calvin Osbourne, Sandy Osbourne; 9 grandchildren, Vanessa Johnson, Ruth-Ann Johnson, Beverley Mercer, Amber Power, Michael Power, Jason Pittman, Scott Pittman, Christopher Johnson, Mathew Johnson; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Edward was predeceased by wife, Daisy; daughter, Ruth Johnson; father, Arnold Johnson; mother, Susan Osbourne; stepfather, Gary Osbourne; stepbrother, Melvin Osbourne.
The Johnson Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home Fortune Fortune, NL on Sunday, August 15th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Monday, August 16th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions this will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 20 people at one time. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are encouraged.
Chapel Funeral will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune, NL on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at a time to be announced.
Interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank, NL.
In Edward’s memory donations may be made to Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 340, Burin, NL A0E 1E0.
The Family would also like to acknowledge his Home Care Workers over the past three years, and all his friends (way too many to mention) that meant so much to Dad over his life span.
