1939 – April 2, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Ed Sabourin at the age of 81 at St. Boniface Hospital on Good Friday after a long courageous battle of lung disease and CLL.
His memory is cherished by his beloved wife of 58 years, Murielle (Dupuis), daughter, Joanne (David) Plamondon, sons, Darrell (Annette), Serge, son-in-law Martin Ramsaurer; his grandchildren, Jean-Eric (Sydney Bulmer), Janelle (Robert Marion), Genevieve (Matthew), Morgan (Thomas Hansen), Reed, Jordan, Peyten and three great grandchildren, Cruz Plamondon, William and Raven Marion.
He is survived by his siblings, Beth (René), Syl (Kathy), Henri (Kim), Claire, Louise (Gilbert); numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Ed was predeceased by his daughter Christiane, his parents, Armand and Hortense, his brother Claude and sister Léa.
Ed retired as a foreman in the paint department for the Winnipeg School Division #1 for 30 years. He was recognized as a dedicated painter in his community of St. Norbert and Buffalo Point, MB for many years. His passion in life was spending time with his family and grandchildren camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, and hanging out at the cottage. From a young age Ed was an avid reader and became quite the storyteller! He loved meeting people while spending their winters down south or during their International travels. He will be missed by many!
Ed was very appreciative of all the caring support he received from his family and caregivers. In honour of Ed, you may donate to your charity of choice.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Edmond Ed Ildege Sabourin 1939 – April 2 2021..
