Edith’s Obituary
Edith House (nee Biggin) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the Stillwaters Floor of the Western Long-Term Care Home in Corner Brook on Thursday December 2, 2021 at the age of 88. Edith leaves to morn with fond and loving memories her Husband of 72 years Henry ; her children Gerald (Wanda), Calvin (Kathleen), Warren (Norma), Joseph (Mercedes), Maxine (Faron) and Emma; thirteen grandchildren Brian, Natasha, Sara, Vanessa, Darren, Cindy, Paul, Andrew, Nancy, Mark, Dana, Jeremy and Joshua; 16 great grandchildren; brothers in-law Manuel and Cornelius ; sisters- in-law Janet, Norma and Emma and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and William; daughter Nancy; granddaughter Gail, son-in-law John, father in-law William, mother in-law Gladys; step mother-in-law Elsie; brothers Archibald, Howard, Eli and Stedman; sisters Ivy, Fanney, Mary-Alice and Elsie. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Western Long-Term Care Home in Corner Brook; your kindness and care have been greatly appreciated at this time.
Our mother and grandmother loved her family and she loved to spoil us with her extra special meals and her handmade warm cozy quilts and mitts. She will be missed by all who loved her. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home on Sunday December 5th, 2021 from 1 to 3pm. The funeral service will take place at Parsons Funeral Home in Deer Lake on Monday December 6th at 1pm and will be officiated by Rev Terry Rose. Covid Restrictions will be followed with a limit of 50 fully vaccinated people in attendance and vaccine passes and masks will be required. The funeral service can be viewed live through the facebook,page; parsons funeral home (deer lake). In keeping with Edith’s wishes cremation will take place and a burial will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Aiden’s Anglican Church in Bellburns or the Anglican Cemetery in Bellburns.
