E. Alice Crandall
1929-2021
E. Alice Crandall of Forest Dale Nursing
Home Inc, Riverside-Albert, NB, and formerly of Mapleton, NB, passed
away at the home on March 16, 2021 at the age of 91.
Born in Kinnear Settlement on May 25,
1929, Alice was the daughter of the late Hazel (McCully) and Hartley
Colpitts. She was a life member of the Elgin Women’s
Institute, Mapleton WMS and member of the Elgin Baptist Church. Of the
many notables, she and Dad (Henry) welcomed friends and family to the
farm in springtime to enjoy all aspects of the maple syrup season from
helping to tap in, to gathering sap, sugaring off, and tasting the
sugary treats.
Predeceased by her husband Henry in
2007, she is survived by HazelAnna Carter (Reid), June Crandall, and
Rickey Crandall (Paula) all of Mapleton and residing on the family
farm. Grandchildren include Kandice Carter, Mackenzie Carter (Leanne)
both from Elgin, Paul Easterling of Maryland, US, Joshua Easterling of
Kentucky, US, Joanie Crandall of Alberta, and Jaret Crandall of
Ontario, and nine great-grandchildren. The only surviving sibling is
her sister, Ena Thorne of Petitcodiac.
Arrangements are in care of Salisbury
Funeral Home, (506-372-4800). There will be no funeral or visitation
at this time. A Celebration of Life, and Committal at The Elgin
Cemetery will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff
of Forest Dale Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care
given to Mum over the last three years.
