Peacefully at Hillel Lodge, Friday, January 29, 2021, age 80 years, with his dear wife Brenda at his side. During these last years, Duncan has been looking forward to going to heaven and now his greatest wish has been granted. Duncan is the loving son of the late Peter Lunam and Ella Viletta Elliott of Campbell’s Bay, Que. Loving husband and best friend of his wife Brenda Smith. Dear brother of Rosemary McCleary (the late Keith) of Chatham ON and cherished Uncle of Lynn McCleary and Patricia Giffen, her husband Graham and nephews Mackenzie and Jack. Dear brother-in-law of Paul and Cheryl Smith.
Duncan was a devoted professional who assisted many clergy with the care of families during their time of bereavement. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, former Kiwanian and Kettle Volunteer with the Salvation Army. Duncan will be fondly remembered by his family, many friends and his colleagues at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.
A Celebration of Duncan’s Life will be held at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road), Ottawa on Saturday, Setpember 4, 2021 at 11 am. In person attendance is by RSVP registration, which can be accessed by using the tab below. A small number of seats are remaining for those who have not already registered.
