Obituary of Douglas Ralph Bruton
BRUTON: Douglas Ralph
Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Sunday October 24, 2021. Doug was a Professional Golfer and member of the Canadian Professional Golfers’ Association (CPGA) for over 60 years. Doug Bruton with the Georgetown, Bolton and Brookside Golf Courses. Loving husband of the late Ruth Bruton (2013). Sadly missed by his children Peter (Margaret) of Huntsville, Kathy Bruton and Dan Bruton, both of Lakefield. Dear grandfather of Rebecca Townshend (Derek) of Etobicoke, Joshua Bruton (Ashtyn) of Wingham, Zachery Bruton of Lakefield and great grandfather of Bennett, Emery, Adley and Fynley. Survived by his brother-in-law John Nelson, sister-in-law Marilyn Bruton and his dear companion Margo Wania. Predeceased by his daughter Kimberley, sister Shirley Nelson and brother Glenn Bruton. A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held at his home, 2236 Cedarwood Lane, Lakefield, on Saturday November 6, 2021, between 11AM and 4 PM. Cremation has taken place.
